Shock stunned In Arena Cup 2008
SPOKANE, Wash. - A raucus sold out crowd inside the Spokane Arena wasn't enough to help push the Spokane Shock over the top in their bid to win a second AF2 Arena Cup in 3 years.
Hosting the Tennessee Valley Vipers, the Shock nearly pulled out a last minute victory in a seesaw battle in front of a sellout crowd of 10,662. Trailing in the fourth quarter, with only a minute left, Spokane tied the game at 48 on a 12 yard pass from quarterback Nick Davila to Kelvin Dickens. On Spokane's next possession, Brian Jackson's 33 yard field goal attempt to win went wide right and it was on to overtime.
