Af2 team on hold, arena's GM says

The Wichita Wild will apparently remain the only indoor football game in town for at least another full season.
In January, Intrust Bank Arena general manager Chris Presson said he hoped an Arenafootball2 franchise would play in the new venue in 2010.
But on Tuesday, Presson said that 2011 is a more realistic date.
"We continue to hope for and work toward an Af2 franchise," Presson said. "Yet with the downturn in the economy, that doesn't seem a realistic possibility for 2010. The potential owners are now more focused on assuring long-term success with their primary businesses."
Arenafootball2, which bills itself as the "official developmental league" of the higher-level Arena Football League, started its 10th season in March.
Wichita had an Af2 team, the Stealth, from 2001-04.
